You will need

  • A ring shape — we used a metal ring with a diameter of 60 cm
  • Thin wire, preferably dark green
  • Russet velvet ribbon
  • Eucalyptus Parvifolia
  • Eucalyptus Robusta
  • Cotinus Royal Purple

How to make it

Step 1. Harvest the most attractive parts from the two varieties of eucalyptus, approximately 20 to 25 cm. Start with a nice full branch of Eucalyptus Parvifola. Attach it to the ring with a length of thin wire. Then place a Eucalyptus Robusta branch against it, partly overlapping, and secure it to the ring. Repeat this and build up all way round until the wreath looks nice and full. The aim is to totally hide the ring shape.

Step 2. Use Cotinus’ dark red foliage as the finishing touch, placing it where you think it looks right.

Step 3. The final step is to attach the wreath to the velvet ribbon. Position the attractive bow at the front, and secure the ribbon inside the door with a hook or tape.
