DIY: weaving with nature

Artwork from your own garden
Estimated reading time: 2 minutes

Want to do something new this weekend? Create a piece of nature art - and get your little ones involved, if they're interested. Use greenery from your own garden or that of a friendly neighbour. It totally fits the style trend of the moment and helps you to focus on slowing down, coming to your senses, finding comfort in the little things and appreciating what you have. Making a natural artwork not only gives you something to do with your hands, it also tickles your creative self. Wondering how to make this? Let us show you.

HOW TO MAKE A PIECE OF NATURE ART

Find sturdy branches in nature and use sisal rope to make a frame. Add horizontal or vertical lines to the frame with more rope, then weave in flowers and twigs. Use delicate plants or flowers such as lavender, eucalyptus, primula and craspedia.
